This single vineyard pinot noir comes from a small section of our estate with rocky soils, hence the name Gravel Knob. The 2013 growing season was about as good as it gets producing high quality and generous quantities of fruit. Presenting aromas of blackberry spice with earth, dried strawberry and a hint of bramble on the mouth, this pinot noir makes a perfect companion with a variety of food. Drink now or cellar for a few years to continue developing its nuances.
90 points: Wine Enthusiast (2017)
“Bright strawberry and rhubarb flavors are pulled taut with tension and hearty tannin in this estate-grown wine. Cherry liqueur and dried herb notes add dimension and seasoning to the robust, oaky profile.” —V.B
